Bengal STF arrests college student over links with Jaish operative Hamim Mondal
West Bengal police's Special Task Force arrested college student Aditya Singh from Howrah district for alleged links to Jaish-e-Mohammed operative Hamim Mondal.
Singh allegedly shared information about the movements of West Bengal minister Umesh Rai, as well as pictures of Rai and his son, their residence, and vehicle, with Mondal.
Mondal was arrested on Friday from East Burdwan district; he was allegedly setting up a network in West Bengal and planned to target Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and others.
Mondal also had instructions from the Bhatti gang to carry out subversive activities at Jantar Mantar, where students protested over NEET paper leak and other exam irregularities.
The Bhatti gang is linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and other terrorist organizations.
