'Likely to mislead': FSSAI bars Dabur from selling products with '100%' guarantee claims

FSSAI prohibited Dabur India from selling food products with '100 per cent' claims like '100 per cent Natural', '100 per cent Pure', and '100 per cent Organic', deeming them misleading and in violation of Food Safety and Standards (Advertising & Claims) Regulations, 2018.

Products covered include honey, cow ghee, edible oils, apple cider vinegar, virgin coconut oil, sesame oil, coconut water, and coconut milk.

FSSAI also found Dabur Himalayan Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Dabur Organic Honey displayed Jaivik Bharat logo without valid FSSAI organic endorsement, and Dabur Hommade Coconut Milk used '100 per cent Purity' claim not permitted for compound foods.

FSSAI directed Dabur to immediately stop selling affected products and submit an Action Taken Report within 15 days; Dabur is reviewing the notice.
