Bhiwandi Collapse Fallout: Mayor Orders Immediate Evacuation Of 238 Highly Dangerous Buildings, Announces

Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation ordered immediate evacuation of 238 C-1 extremely dangerous buildings and 836 C-2A buildings after Kohinoor Apartment collapse.

Mayor Narayan Choudhary directed officials to disconnect electricity and water supply to evacuated buildings.

Structural inspection panchnama will be provided to building owners and occupants along with evacuation notices.

Displaced families will receive temporary accommodation and food in municipal buildings for five to six days.

The measures were announced at a disaster management review meeting chaired by the mayor.
