Nolan Wells autopsy inconclusive, family awaits answers

An independent autopsy commissioned by Nolan Wells' family was inconclusive, attorney Ben Crump announced Wednesday.

The autopsy found the teen's cause and manner of death 'undetermined' pending further investigation.

The autopsy showed no evidence of fractures or deep tissue injuries, and a 'red discoloration' on the skull was inconclusive.

Dr. Robert Mitchell noted that 'non-accidental factors contributed to or caused the death' could not be ruled out.

Wells' decomposed body and prior autopsy removal of organs prevented determining if he had a neck injury or water in his lungs.
