Pathologist discusses Nolan Wells death factors

Independent autopsy commissioned by Nolan Wells' family found cause and manner of death 'undetermined' pending further investigation.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Robert Mitchell wrote that 'non-accidental factors contributed to or caused the death' could not be ruled out.

Autopsy found no evidence of fractures or deep tissue injuries, and described a 'red discoloration' on the back of Wells' skull as 'inconclusive'.

Mississippi medical examiner has not yet released state autopsy results; toxicology tests are pending.

Ben Crump, attorney for Wells' family, is working with the local prosecutor to inspect Wells' phone; case will be presented to a grand jury.
