Three Warkaris Killed In Pune Road Accident; CM Devendra Fadnavis Announces ₹5 Lakh Ex Gratia

Three women Warkaris were killed in a road accident near Jejuri in Pune district while travelling to Pandharpur for Ashadhi Wari.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed sorrow and directed the administration to ensure medical care for injured pilgrims.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia assistance for the families of the deceased and ordered free treatment for the injured.

The state government said several pilgrims were injured and shifted to nearby hospitals.

Shinde stated that safety of Warkaris is a top priority and instructed strengthening of security and emergency response along pilgrimage routes.
