CM Devendra Fadnavis Announces ₹5 Lakh Ex Gratia For Families Of 3 Women Killed In Accident During Ashadhi
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia each for families of three women killed in an accident at Jejuri, Pune district during Ashadhi Wari.
The victims were Nanda Pawar (60), Madhavi Rajaram Salgare (55) and Rajshri Shankar Bhosale (55), all from Sangli district.
A 70-year-old truck driver, unwell and on medication, allegedly swerved while overtaking, hitting the women near Belsar toll plaza.
Four injured women were admitted to ICU in Jejuri.
Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar visited the spot and met the injured, instructing administration to provide full medical help.
