Sam Neill’s ex Laura Tingle says he was ‘pretty sick’ before his death

Sam Neill's former partner Laura Tingle said he was 'pretty sick' in the weeks before his death despite being declared cancer-free earlier in 2026.

Neill died on Monday at age 78 after battling angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare blood cancer.

Tingle noted that years of chemotherapy and immunotherapy compromised his immune system and left his body exhausted.

Neill's family stated he died surrounded by loved ones and with dignity.
