'Jurassic Park' actor Sir Sam Neill passes at 78

Sir Sam Neill, known for Jurassic Park and Peaky Blinders, died at 78 in Sydney, Australia on July 13, 2026.

His family announced the death on social media, describing it as sudden and unexpected, while noting he was cancer-free.

Neill had previously battled stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), which he revealed in his 2023 memoir 'Did I Ever Tell You This?'.

He achieved career milestones including a Golden Globe nomination for Ace of Spies and roles in Sleeping Dogs, My Brilliant Career, and Omen III: The Final Conflict.

Survived by his son and daughter.
