Mumbais Water Stock Remains Steady, Slightly Under 50%; Lake Levels Rise To 49.79%

Mumbai's seven lakes hold 49.79% of total live storage capacity, equivalent to 7,20,597 million litres of usable water.
Combined water stock rose by 0.14 percentage points from Thursday to Friday, July 17.
Bhatsa Lake, the city's largest source, stands at 44.53% capacity; Upper Vaitarna at 29.14%; Middle Vaitarna at 44.79%.
Vihar Lake and Tulsi Lake continue overflowing after reaching full capacity earlier this month.
Rainfall recorded: Vihar 14 mm, Tulsi 15 mm, Bhatsa 10 mm, Upper Vaitarna 9 mm, Tansa 2 mm; Modak Sagar and Middle Vaitarna received none.
