Delhi Police cop who shot wife dead kills self using same service pistol

Delhi Police constable, 32, who allegedly shot dead his wife with his service pistol, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his right temple in Mayur Vihar.

The constable's body was discovered in a parking lot near a luxury hotel around 6pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2026.

Prima facie, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Rajeev Kumar, the constable shot himself 10 to 15 minutes before his body was found using the same service pistol.

The constable had been on the run for nearly 40 hours after killing his wife in Kalyanpuri early on Monday.

Police had sent teams to Uttar Pradesh and initiated a look-out circular, but the scooter he fled on was not found at the scene.
