Seema Kaliramna, CWG discus bronze medallist, credits her PhD research on imagery and positive self-talk for improving her athletic performance.
She is pursuing a PhD at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University in Bhiwani, Haryana, and applies her research concepts to her training and competitions.
Seema won bronze at the Glasgow CWG with a throw of 58.65m, after finishing fourth at the 2025 Asian Championships by just 16 cm.
She is preparing for the Asian Games in Japan starting September 19, and noted the challenging windy and cold conditions in Glasgow as a learning experience.
Her coach and husband, Ravinder Kaliramna, said the medal could have been a different color if the weather had been more favorable.
