Indian crew member missing after GFS Galaxy attack off Oman's coast confirmed dead, family says

Indian marine engineer Heramb Karmarkar, 30, who went missing after the attack on the Cyprus-flagged container ship GFS Galaxy off Oman's coast, has been declared dead by his family.
The GFS Galaxy was attacked on Sunday while Karmarkar was serving as a marine engineer aboard.
Karmarkar is the second Indian seafarer killed in the region in three days.
His father-in-law, Vivek Tandon, stated that the ship's operating company informed the family of Karmarkar's death.
