Meerut Kanwar Yatra preparations: No onion, garlic in food; meat, liquor shops to be shut or covered

Meerut District Magistrate VK Singh ordered on-site inspections of all hotels, dhabas, and restaurants along the Kanwar route.

Food prepared for devotees must not contain onion or garlic.

Meat and liquor shops along the pilgrimage route must be shut down or completely covered, with signboards hidden from devotees.

The forest department must make arrangements to prevent snakes along the route and in temporary camps during monsoon.

FSDA officials must verify that QR codes and barcodes at shops on the route are registered to the actual operator.
