PMC prepares six major routes for Kanwar Yatra, sets up control room

Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) identified six major routes for the Kanwar Yatra and set up a 24-hour control room.

CCTV cameras will be installed along the routes, and roads will be made pothole-free; a special campaign will enforce the plastic ban.

Six routes include: Shastri Bridge to Varanasi Road, Dashashwamedh Ghat to Sangam Nose, Bakshi Bandh Road to Nagvasuki–Dashashwamedh Ghat, Lucknow Road (Phaphamau) to Sangam Nose, Fort Road crossing via Alopi Devi temple to Daraganj Dashashwamedh Ghat, and Arail Ghat route.

PMC will provide 700 mobile toilets, 40 men's and 200 women's permanent toilet units; 36 sanitation workers deployed.

NDRF will deploy divers and rescue boats at riverbanks; 15 water tankers will supply potable water; street lighting is being upgraded.
