Mirabai Chanu creates history with Commonwealth Games gold hat-trick in Glasgow

Mirabai Chanu won gold in the women's 48kg weightlifting with a total lift of 190kg, completing a hat-trick of Commonwealth Games gold medals.

Chanu lifted 85kg in the snatch to set a new Commonwealth Games record and a new Commonwealth record.

Rishikanta Singh earned a silver medal in the men's 60kg competition with a total lift of 264kg, equalling the Commonwealth record in the snatch.

Bin Kasdan Mohamad Aniq of Malaysia won gold in the men's 60kg with a Games record total of 273kg.
