J&K CM Omar Abdullah announces Rs 10 lakh aid after Kulgam terror attack kills two labourers
J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced Rs 10 lakh ex gratia each for families of two migrant labourers killed in a terrorist attack at a brick kiln in Kulgam district.
The attack occurred late Friday in Kelam area, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on workers.
Victims were Deepak Ratre, 24, from Bundeli village in Sakti district, and Bhupendra Bhaina, 28, from Chhuiya village in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, both from Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai called the attack "cowardly" and directed officials to coordinate bringing the bodies back.
Deepak was the sole breadwinner for his family including his wife and four-month-old son; Bhupendra and his wife had left their four-year-old son in care of relatives.
