Mortal remains of 15 Indian nationals killed in Vietnam boat accident on July 11 repatriated to Mumbai on Monday evening.
Bodies arrived at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSMIA) on Vietnam Airlines flight VN-979.
Remains will be flown to Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Trivandrum for final rites coordinated by home states Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala.
Victims were part of 32 tourists including sellers, distributors, employees of Lava Mobile; boat capsized near Phu Quoc Island.
Indian government supported repatriation via Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) with coordinated efforts by Indian embassy and Vietnamese authorities.
