Association of Indian Universities (AIU) urged vice-chancellors to counsel students against protests over national-level entrance examination controversies.
AIU president Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak said prolonged agitations disrupt students' education and cause lost academic time and stress.
Pathak described the recent NEET examination as 'transparent and error-free' and said the government is committed to strengthening the examination system.
Pathak referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurance that future exams will be conducted in a 'completely fair, transparent and secure manner'.
