Rohit Sharma hails Ajinkya Rahane’s commitment and professionalism in a thoughtful post after the latter’s retirement

Rohit Sharma wrote a tribute on X praising Ajinkya Rahane's commitment and professionalism after Rahane retired from international cricket on Thursday.

Rahane was the stand-in captain for three games as India stunned hosts Australia in a Test series in 2020-21, guiding India to a 2-1 win.

Rahane played 85 Tests, 90 ODIs, and 20 T20Is for India, scoring more than 8,000 international runs with 15 centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli also paid tribute to Rahane, with Kohli calling him 'the safest pair of hands in the slips and my favourite Test batting partner.'
