Greece fights fires near Athens as France, Spain improve

Greece battled wildfires on Friday near Athens, in Boeotia, and on Crete, with over 70 fires breaking out across the country.
In Boeotia, hundreds were evacuated by coast guard boats and fishing vessels from coastal communities, including Porto Germeno.
French authorities lifted evacuation orders in 12 districts around Bordeaux, allowing 144,000 of more than 220,000 displaced people to return home.
