Stone-pelting by CJP protesters happened even after Parliament march violence: Officials

Stone-pelting by CJP protesters continued for at least six days after the Parliament march violence, according to security officials.
The CJP protest, over alleged NEET-UG paper leak, ended on July 25 after the government accepted demands including resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Flashpoints were within a roughly 2-km radius near Parliament, including Gol Dak Khana, Tolstoy-Janpath Crossing, Rafi Marg, and Jantar Mantar.
Police used restraint and resorted to cane charge and tear gas on July 20 during clashes, after warnings against provocation.
Officials said a section with vested interests infiltrated genuine students and stoked violence.
