Moshi tragedy: Company, two PCMC engineers submit replies

Antony Lara Renewable, PCMC chief engineer Sanjay Kulkarni, and executive engineer Yogesh Alhat submitted written replies to municipal commissioner Vijay Suryawanshi on July 14, 2026.

The replies were in response to notices issued after a garbage mound collapsed onto the administrative building of the Moshi waste-to-energy project on July 8, 2026, trapping 23 people and killing nine.

The civic administration will examine the replies before deciding on further action, including possible criminal proceedings against the project operator.
