Avalanche kills Nirmal Purja, nine others on Broad Peak

Nirmal Purja and nine other climbers died in an avalanche on Broad Peak at approximately 5,700 m.
A photo captured moments before the avalanche was posted on Instagram by tour operator Karakoram Vision.
The expedition included climbers from Nepal, Pakistan, Oman, the US, and China.
Seven bodies have been recovered, including Purja's, while three remain missing.
Broad Peak is the world's 12th highest peak at 8,051 m in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
