Nirmal Purja, a Nepali-British climber, died on Thursday in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan at around 7,000 meters.
His final Instagram post revealed his goal to climb all 14 eight-thousanders twice without oxygen, with only Cho Oyu remaining after Broad Peak.
