Man files $2.5M claim over detention in Nancy Guthrie case

Carlos Palazuelos filed a $2.5 million notice of claim against Pima County, the Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Chris Nanos, and Detective Earl Gieron, alleging unjust detention at gunpoint during the Nancy Guthrie investigation.

Palazuelos was held for 7 to 8 hours without charges; the notice also filed on behalf of two family members.
