Delhi HC to hear petition for NIA probe in CJP protest
Delhi High Court will hear a petition seeking an NIA probe into violence during CJP's 'Chalo Sansad' student protest.
Petitioner Satish Kumar Aggarwal, former vice-president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, filed the plea through advocate Barun Sinha.
The petition seeks NIA takeover of all FIRs registered by Delhi Police related to the protest violence.
It also demands identification and criminal charges against those responsible for vandalism, obstruction of emergency services, and damage to public and private property.
The court had previously sought responses from the Centre and Delhi Police on pleas alleging police excesses during the demonstrations.
