Bhiwandi Building Collapse Kills 9, Survivors Recount Escape

Nine people died in the collapse of the B-Wing of Kohinoor Apartment in Bhiwandi's Gangaramwadi, Bhandari Compound, around 11:30 pm.

Survivor Abhay Kumar Yadav jumped from the first floor to escape, suffering a leg fracture; a local youth's ladder helped rescue 25-30 trapped residents.

Another survivor, Deepak Kumar Yadav, fled by jumping from the first floor after hearing a loud crashing sound.

Sangita Prajapati narrowly escaped while standing near the parking area, sustaining injuries as the building collapsed.

Rescue operations by NDRF, SDRF, fire brigade, and local authorities continue as one resident, Ranjeet Singh, remains missing.
