'Forever grateful': T Dilip bids emotional farewell after five years with Team India
T Dilip ended his five-year tenure as India's fielding coach after his contract was not renewed following India's T20I tour of Zimbabwe.
Subhadeep Ghosh has replaced Dilip as fielding coach and will travel with the team for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka starting August 15.
Dilip introduced the fielding medal ceremony during the 2023 ODI World Cup, which became a dressing-room tradition celebrating exceptional fielding efforts.
Under his tenure, India won the T20 World Cup in 2024 and 2026, the Champions Trophy in 2025, and Asia Cup titles in 2023 and 2025, plus runner-up finishes in the 2023 ODI World Cup and World Test Championship.
