T Dilip ended his five-year stint as India's fielding coach after the BCCI declined to extend his contract.

Rohit Sharma praised Dilip as a "legend" and "behind-the-scenes workhorse" in an Instagram tribute.

Dilip introduced the fielding medal tradition during the 2023 ODI World Cup, which went viral.

During his tenure, India won two T20 World Cups, the Champions Trophy, and two Asia Cups, and finished runners-up in the ODI World Cup and World Test Championship.

Subhadeep Ghosh is reportedly set to replace Dilip as India's new fielding coach.
