'You created magic': Rohit Sharma hails T Dilip as India replace fielding coach
India replaced fielding coach T Dilip with Subhadeep Ghosh after Dilip's one-year contract ended following the 2025 Test tour of England.
Rohit Sharma praised Dilip on Instagram, calling him a 'legend' and 'behind the scenes workhorse' who 'created magic'.
Dilip first joined India's support staff in 2021 and served under head coaches Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir.
During Dilip's tenure, India won the T20 World Cups in 2024 and 2026 and the 2025 Champions Trophy.
He introduced the 'Best Fielder of the Match' medal during the 2023 ODI World Cup to build a stronger fielding culture.
