Surge at voter facilitation centres across state increases wait time

Voter Facilitation Centres across Karnataka are experiencing mounting crowds to submit enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Applicants are waiting for hours to complete procedures due to high footfall and inadequate assistance at several locations.

Many voters struggle to locate family details from the 2002 electoral roll, which is the most time-consuming part of the process.

The revision exercise began on June 30 and will continue until July 29, with over 59,000 Booth Level Officers deployed.

Karnataka chief electoral officer V Anbukkumar urged voters to submit forms with available information rather than delaying while searching for historical data.
