Meet Nathan Thomas, the 18-year-old who became the world's youngest male professor

Nathan Thomas, an 18-year-old engineering graduate from Florida, became the world's youngest male professor at Miami Dade College, breaking a 306-year-old record.

He began dual-enrolment classes at Miami Dade College at age 10, moved to Florida International University at 14, and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering by 18.

Since August 2023, Thomas has been teaching COP 2270: C for Engineers at Miami Dade College, where many students are his own age or older.

He is also pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Miami School of Law, planning to combine engineering with intellectual property and patent law.
