18-year-old Florida teen becomes world's youngest male professor
Nathan Thomas, 18, from Florida, became the world's youngest male professor at 18 years and 346 days old, breaking a 306-year record.
Thomas teaches COP 2270: C for Engineers at Miami Dade College, which covers C programming fundamentals.
He surpassed Scottish mathematician Colin Maclaurin, who became a professor at 19 in 1717.
At age 10, he dual-enrolled at Miami Dade College; at 14, he transferred to Florida International University, earning bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering.
He is also pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law, expecting to graduate in 2028.
