As father fights blood cancer, Rishikanta bags CWG silver

Rishikanta Singh Chanambam won a silver medal in the men's 60kg weightlifting competition at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
His father is undergoing treatment for blood cancer at AIIMS Jodhpur and has completed three rounds of chemotherapy.
Rishikanta lifted a combined 264kg to claim the silver medal.
He worked as a daily-wage labourer earning around ₹150 a day to support his family and fund his education.
His elder brother, Amarjit Singh, who serves in the Indian Air Force, supported Rishikanta's training and competitions.
