CWG: Rana, Juyal clinch 1-2 in para shot put

Soman Rana and Shubham Juyal won gold and silver in men's shot put F57 at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Rana's winning throw was 13.40m, Juyal's 13.28m; Cameron Cedric Azamdzi took bronze with 12.57m.

The 1-2 finish added to India's para contingent's best-ever CWG tally of seven medals, including three gold.

Rana, a 43-year-old Armyman and below-knee amputee, achieved a personal best of 15.17m in the final.

The Indian duo finished well ahead of the field, with the next best thrower at 12.70m.
