Delhi Ramlila demands screening of Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana before release, warns protests otherwise

Shri Ramlila Mahasangh, led by president Arjun Kumar, has written to the makers of the film 'Ramayana' demanding a special screening before its theatrical release.
The group warns of protests if its demand is not considered, citing concerns that scenes or dialogues might hurt religious sentiments.
Kumar objected to the trailer, saying there is no emotion visible in Sri Ram, and questioned the actor Ranbir Kapoor promoting land sale in Ayodhya in a commercial while portraying Shri Ram.
The group also criticized the costumes in the trailer as unsuitable for Ramayana characters, drawing comparisons to the 2023 film 'Adipurush' which faced objections over its portrayal.
