Ramayana: Ramlila Body demands special screening before release
Shri Ramlila Mahasangh demanded a special pre-release screening of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana'.
The group called Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Ram 'weak' and flagged the depiction of Lanka as concerning.
It warned of protests if ignored, citing the failure of 'Adipurush'.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is a Rs 4,000-crore two-part epic, and also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash.
The film is set for release on Diwali 2026.
