'My favourite Test batting partner': Kohli hails Ajinkya Rahane after retirement

Virat Kohli called Ajinkya Rahane his "favourite Test batting partner" and "the safest pair of hands in slips" after Rahane retired from international cricket.

Ajinkya Rahane played 85 Tests, scoring 5,077 runs with 12 centuries at an average of 38.46, and 90 ODIs with 2,962 runs at an average of 35.26.

Rahane captained India in six Tests, recording four wins and two draws, with the highest win percentage among Indian Test captains who led in at least five matches.

His captaincy included India's comeback win in Melbourne and series-clinching victory at the Gabba during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
