Jhandu Kumar, a former vegetable seller and e-rickshaw driver, won bronze in men's heavyweight para powerlifting at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He finished with 130.9 points after a best lift of 190kg, becoming India's first medallist at this edition.
Jhandu, affected by polio at age five, trained at Rockstar Gym under coach Gautam Singh since 2020.
