J&K: Days after Kulgam terror attack, man with grenade held in Pulwama
Tousef Ahmad Dar, a local man, was arrested in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, with a hand grenade, three anti-national posters, and a mobile phone.
Dar was spotted fleeing a joint checkpoint set up by J&K police, Army, and CRPF; he was chased and caught.
He was booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other laws.
The arrest follows a terror attack in Kulgam on July 31 that killed two migrant labourers, for which The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Toiba offshoot, was blamed.
Following the attack, security forces have increased patrols and checkpoints across Kashmir; Kashmir IG VK Birdi ordered dynamic nakas and enhanced night patrolling.
