J&K CM announces ₹10 lakh ex-gratia for kin of migrant labourers killed in Kulgam terror attack
J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced ₹10 lakh ex-gratia from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for kin of two migrant labourers killed in a terror attack in Kulgam district.
The relief is in addition to ₹6 lakh from the district administration, totaling ₹16 lakh per family.
The attack occurred at a brick kiln in Kelam, Kulgam; victims were 24-year-old Deepak Ratre and 28-year-old Bhupendra Bhaina, both from Chhattisgarh.
Both men were primary breadwinners; Deepak left behind an infant son, elderly mother, and disabled brother; Bhupendra left a four-year-old son and minor sister.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai condemned the attack and said officials are coordinating to transport remains home.
