India hosted the first-ever Operation Southern Readiness at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi from July 22, 2026. The four-day multinational maritime security training engagement brought together 254 participants from 26 countries, marking a milestone in India's partnership with the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
Background
Operation Southern Readiness is conducted under the aegis of Combined Task Force 154 (CTF 154), the training task force of CMF. CTF 154 is currently commanded by the Indian Navy. The exercise focuses on capacity building, interoperability, and professional readiness among partner nations.

Operation Southern Readiness 26-2 is a four-day multinational maritime security training engagement.
