India hosts maiden Op Southern Readiness in Kochi, 26 nations join maritime exercise
Operation Southern Readiness 26-2, a four-day multinational maritime security training engagement, commenced at the Southern Naval Command in Kochi.
Hosted by the Indian Navy's Southern Naval Command, the exercise is conducted under Combined Task Force 154 (CTF 154) in partnership with Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
participants from 26 countries, along with 74 facilitators and four international organisations, are taking part.
CTF 154, CMF's dedicated Training Task Force, is currently commanded by the Indian Navy and aims to strengthen capacity and interoperability.
