The Delhi Lakshmi Yojana was announced by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, fulfilling a key election promise. It aims to provide monthly financial assistance to eligible women in Delhi, similar to other state schemes like the Rythu Bharosa in Andhra Pradesh.

The scheme provides ₹2,500 per month to the eldest woman (aged 21-60) in a household with annual income under ₹2.5 lakh.
Applicants must have a recommendation letter from their local MP or MLA.
Beneficiaries or their spouse/parents must have been Delhi residents for at least 10 years.
Women with more than three children are not eligible (as per guidelines).
The portal is integrated with Aadhaar, PFMS, banking, CBDC transfers, and SMS alerts.
Applications undergo four-level verification: district programme management unit, district women and child development officer, and district-level committee headed by DM.
Beneficiaries can choose between a CBDC wallet plus recurring/fixed deposit, or full amount into a savings instrument.
