Surgery performed on 'wrong' leg of four-year-old at govt hospital in Nuh

in5points
Surgery was performed on the wrong leg of a four-year-old child at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College in Nuh district.
The child had an abscess on his leg; the surgeon operated on the right leg instead of the left leg, as required.
The error was discovered after the operation, and the correct leg was then also operated on.
The child's father, Arif, filed a complaint alleging negligence by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Pawan Kumar.
A four-doctor committee has been formed to investigate the incident at the government hospital.
