D4VD case update: Did Celeste Rivas' family know about their relationship? Defense makes fresh claims in court

Defense attorneys argued that Celeste Rivas Hernandez's family knew about her relationship with D4VD (David Burke) before her death.

A judge ruled that Burke will stand trial for murder, sexual abuse of a child, and mutilation of a body in connection with Rivas's death in April 2025.

Defense introduced evidence including a notarized parental travel authorization allowing Rivas to travel to London with Burke in 2024.

Prosecutors alleged Burke killed Rivas after she threatened to expose their sexual relationship, which began when she was 13.
