D4vd case: Texts reveal teen pregnancy, abortion

Text messages revealed 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez became pregnant and had an abortion in 2024, more than a year before her alleged murder by singer D4VD (David Burke).

Messages from January 2024 show Burke apologized for 'putting her through this' and asked if the child was his; Rivas confirmed it was.

Prosecutors allege Burke began abusing Rivas when she was 13 and he was 18, and killed her after she threatened to reveal their relationship.

Burke's preliminary hearing in Los Angeles will determine if there is enough evidence for trial; he pleaded not guilty to murder, sexual abuse of a child, and mutilation of a body.

Recovered iCloud data included texts from August 2022 when Burke was 17 and Rivas was 11, and intimate photos on Burke's iPhone.
