The airport, built under the PPP model at a cost of over Rs 5,640 crore, is designed to handle six million passengers annually, featuring AI, biometric processing, and a 5 MW solar plant.
Modi also laid foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 17,900 crore, including Andhra Pradesh's first semiconductor manufacturing facility.
The airport's design, inspired by Chuttilu cottages and Araku Valley, aims to boost tourism, trade, and regional connectivity.
