Setback to comeback: How Ludhiana’s Aryan Gupta clinched NEET-UG AIR1

Aryan Gupta of Ludhiana secured AIR 1 in NEET-UG 2026 with 715 out of 720 marks.

His initial May 3 exam was cancelled after he scored 696; he then studied 17 hours daily for the retest on June 21.

Aryan comes from a family of over 10 doctors; his parents are Dr. Reenu Gupta (gynaecologist) and Dr. Sachin Gupta (anaesthesiologist).

His elder brother Aditya, who secured AIR 54 in NEET last year, mentored him daily.

Aryan found the physics and chemistry sections significantly tougher than expected but handled them well.
